Review by Sarah E. Mitchell

The American Builder's Companion is an excellent resource for designs for interior details: decorative cornices, moldings, banisters, ceiling ornaments, mantels, and staircases; designs for the orders of columns (Tuscan, Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, and Composite); as well as designs for windows, doors, and doorways. The book also features plans for churches, meeting-houses, country homes, and town houses, primarily in the Federal, Adam, and Classical styles.
