Review by Sarah E. Mitchell

Mary Cahill and Gary Grant, Victorian Danville, Fifty-two Landmarks: Their Architecture & History contains information and exterior photographs for fifty-two of Danville, Virginia's Victorian homes, churches, synagogues, and train station. Some of the styles featured are Gothic, Italian Villa, Italianate, Victorian Eclectic, and Queen Anne.

Danville, Virginia experienced economic growth as a textile and tobacco center in the late 1800's and early 1900's, and many fine examples of architecture were built in that time period.
